I hope everyone had a great Holiday Season that included time with family and friends. Our family shared some very special time together, and I received many “helpful hints” from each of them regarding the upcoming session!
We have before us some very challenging times. I believe it is imperative that ALL legislators work together and collaborate to bring new ideas and resolutions to the challenges we face. If we do not work as a collective body, the people of Kansas will suffer.
I was recently asked if we will only have doom and gloom to report. Recession is never a positive time, but it can certainly be an opportunity to step back and look at Kansas as the great state it is and make decisions, although tough, that will make us stronger and better in the future. This is a goal I have set for myself during this session.
No one legislator can accomplish anything alone; but I believe that working collaboratively, across the isle, and with an open mind, we can achieve outcomes that are good for all Kansans. This also has to be done with the voices of our constituents. Please take the time to email me, call me, or write me a note with your concerns. You are the people we work for. We need to carry your message!
I look forward to hearing from you and am humbled and honored to serve as your State Representative!
Sincerely,
